Sponsor a Mobility Dog puppy and change a life!

Hi I'm Nico!

At 5 months old, I'm a bundle of joy with a playful, cuddly personality that lights up every room when I enter. I'm a curious explorer who loves to sniff out adventures and I have a cheeky side that keeps everyone smiling. By sponsoring me, you’ll be supporting me as I grow into a life-changing Mobility Dog.

Signing up as a puppy sponsor is truly something to celebrate! To thank you for your support, you will receive:

  • A Puppy Welcome Pack in the mail, including a beautiful photo of your sponsored puppy to display.

  • Email updates every 4 months sharing milestones in your pup’s training, including images.

  • Updates and stories about how Mobility Dogs help people in your community.

Can I gift a puppy sponsorship to a loved one?

How your support helps

  • Your support will help train more Mobility Dogs to give life changing loyalty. A partnership with a Mobility Dog offers practical and emotional support, companionship and unconditional love. They help to reduce loneliness and improve confidence, enabling many people to take on new challenges and experiences.

  • Every year we have a growing number of people asking us to support them with a Mobility Dog and it is challenging for us to keep up with demand.

Mobility Dogs Career Paths

All dogs in our programme are trained to the same high standard. But all dogs are different and after completing our training, some dogs may not be suitable to work with many of our clients who have a disibility. When this happens, the priority is to find another way the dogs can utilise their training.

MOBILITY DOG

Mobility Dogs make a life-changing difference to disabled New Zealanders by helping with practical tasks such as picking up dropped items, retrieving or carry items, or opening and closing doors and drawers. They also increase independence and build stronger community ties.

THERAPY DOG

Therapy Dogs provide emotional support, just like Mobility Dogs. Dogs from our programme are paired with a clinician and work in places like rehabilitation clinics, medical practices, schools, or even dental clinics. Research shows that animal companionship can lower stress and anxiety levels.

COURT DOG

Court Dogs are placed in courts around New Zealand. They help to reduce stress for visitors and provide support to those they sense to be anxious. In particular, Court Dogs create a sense of safety and security for victims or those providing evidence (often children).

Your support will transform a life

By sponsoring one of these incredible pups, you're not only providing essential support but giving someone an extra set of hands and a lifelong best friend. You can be part of a heartwarming journey that enriches lives and creates lasting bonds. Join us in transforming lives today!
